We are excited to announce the newest addition to our product portfolio, especially for those performing cosmetic and dermaplaning procedures. The 10R blade, better known as the butter blade in the beauty industry, is now available as a disposable scalpel.
The blade is permanently attached to a blue polystyrene handle, eliminating the need to attach and remove the blade from a handle. The 10R butter blade is ideal for contouring the nose, mouth and brows. The rounded (bull nose) tip prevents any accidental snagging or scratching thus providing a more effective and consistent finish.
Dermaplaning can be performed on small areas of skin or on the entire face and can be used alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or fluorescent pulsed light (FPL). Dermaplaning, when performed prior to other treatments, can remove the peach fuzz which can trap excess dirt and oil.
The 10R scalpel will perform the same as the 10R blade, only the handle comes with it! The scalpels are sold in boxes of 10 and there is a plastic guard over the blade of each scalpel. These are stainless steel blades and are sterile. The part number for this product is SM6690.
